Realme is set to surprise with world's fastest charging phone, features revealed ahead of launch

After launching the Realme GT Neo 3 smartphone earlier this year, the popular Oppo-backed smartphone company was recently reported to be gearing up to launch its successor, the Realme GT Neo 5 series.

GT Neo 5 and GT Neo 5T models are expected to debut in the domestic market under this series. The arrival of the Neo 5 series over the Neo 3 indicates that Realme is looking to ditch the inauspicious number “4” from its GT Neo lineup in Chinese tradition. And now, a popular Chinese tipster has leaked online the battery specifications and charging capacity of the two versions of the standard model, ahead of the official launch of the upcoming Realme GT Neo 5 series. Let's know about it in detail.

Leaked are Realme GT Neo 5's battery specifications and charging speed

Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station has reported that the upcoming Realme GT Neo 5 smartphone will come in two variants based on battery and charging capacity. The version with model number BLP985 will be powered by a 5,000mAh battery, which will support 150W fast charging. On the other hand, the BLP987 model will be powered by a 4,600mAh battery with 240W fast charging support. Which will debut as the fastest charging phone in the world.

Also, the Realme GT Neo 5 series is reported to come with a Sony IMX890 primary camera sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support and the handsets in this lineup are claimed to offer better performance than the predecessor GT Neo 3 series. The phone will have a triple-camera setup at the back and for selfies and video calling, it will feature a 16-megapixel or 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

Talking about the specifications, Realme GT Neo 5 is rumored to sport a 6.5-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The device is likely to be powered by a MediaTek Dimension 9-series processor, but the exact chipset name is not yet known. The phone can run on the company's own Realme UI 4.0 (Realme UI 4.0) custom user interface based on Android 13.
